“Life is a journey full of journeys make them beautiful and memorable So, your life can be the same.”

What makes a life worth living? A life full of peace, adventure, memories, and a lovely experience. What if I told you that you can experience all of these in a single journey? Yes, a journey to Rishikesh. Rishikesh, a place full of adventures ranging from River Rafting, Rappelling, Bungee Jumping, Mountain Biking, Cliff Jumping and many more such heart exciting activities. Rishikesh is about 20 kms from Haridwar. The cool breeze will make your mind cool and calm. When you enter Rishikesh after a wonderful travel from Haridwar, you get to know that the fun has just started. You get to witness the scenic and serene view of River Ganga which alone is beautiful enough to stun you with its beauty and make you feel content with your visit to Rishikesh. But this is just the beginning. Camping is another name you can add to your list when entering the zone of Rishikesh. And if you are really planning to do so then don’t forget to have sunscreen to protect you from tanning and a power bank for keeping your mobile phone juiced up to save your lively moments the entire day. Adding a fact to your already grasped knowledge is another feature of Rishikesh. It is the birthplace of yoga, a popular place to meditate, do yoga, and learn about other aspects of Hinduism. To feel the inner peace and connect with the God you can visit a number of beautiful temples of Rishikesh. You may have heard that the famous English band The Beatles visited the ashram of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the 1960s to learn meditation. They also wrote around 40 songs there. The ashram is located within Rajaji National Park, and it recently re-opened for tourists after three decades. Its remaining walls have been decorated with amazing graffiti artwork by artists from around the world under The Beatles Cathedral Gallery community project. The entry cost is 150 rupees for Indians and 600 rupees for foreigners.

I know the more you are reading, the more you are falling in love with this place and you just can’t stop thinking about visiting Rishikesh as soon as possible. But this is not the stop yet. There is more to peek into it. Side trip destinations are also there to make your journey more fulfilling. Shivpuri is a highly recommended side trip, especially if you're into adventure. Located 22 kilometers (14 miles) upstream, it's a place of mesmerizing natural beauty. You'll find excellent white water rafting there, with Grade 3 and 4 rapids.
